Pimloc is a British tech company, dedicated to visual privacy and security. The risks associated with video surveillance have fundamentally shifted - we are all unknowingly giving away our freedom by walking down the street, entering a store, going to work or watching a sports game. To counter this Pimloc is developing systems that will allow businesses and public organisations to increase security and extract valuable analytics data without compromising personal privacy.
Our product focus
We believe that private and public organisations can leverage mass scale video to provide online services, improve physical security/safety and optimise business operations in real-time whilst respecting and preserving people’s privacy.

It began with the creation of the world's first ‘intelligent, wearable image capture device’ (Autographer) which our Founders Simon Randall (CEO) and James Leigh (CTO), co-created within a previous business. Despite Autographer’s built-in privacy features, they realised a critical need for large scale data privacy solutions to manage ‘always-on’ visual capture - especially when it comes to processing the ‘wall of death’ (endless streams of images and video). These reviewing, editing and data privacy challenges inspired Pimloc’s creation, and provide inspiration for the on-going development of its technology, platform and products.
To meet this need Pimloc has developed products that help classify visual content (Pholio) and anonymise sensitive content (Secure Redact), without compromising personal data privacy or security.
Pimloc is currently working across diverse sectors including transport, entertainment venues, retail, hospitality, education, manufacturing, healthcare, law enforcement and local government. These sectors are increasingly relying on Pimloc’s services to deal with visual data protection compliance and to maintain trust in their operations with the public, customers and employees.
